| Last Updated: February 26, 2010 | ![]() Our whitetail hunts are a trophy hunt period. When you are on a hunt with T.T.O. you are not on a hunt just to kill a buck, you are here to kill a trophy buck. We strive to take 3 ½ year old bucks or better. We have NO trophy fees, only the cost of the hunt. However, we charge a management fee fine of $1500 for any whitetail taken that is less than 3 ½ years old or that scores less than 140 B&C. This fee has become necessary in order to keep a tight rein on the management of our deer. We have had several hunters in the past few years that have taken 1 ½ old bucks that had great potential of being trophy bucks and yet were taken out of the gene pool due to impatient hunters. Our whitetail deer are hunted free-range on large tracts of private land in North Texas, exclusive to Triangle T Outfitters. Each season, several book deer are taken. Only a limited number of hunters are guided each season to maintain our management program. Management is our first priority. We don’t over hunt any area to insure that the deer are not pressured. We have over 30,000 acres of private land available for hunting whitetail. We only allow one buck killed for 1,000 acres hunted. A fully guided hunt will consist of one guide per one hunter and will consist of hunting from a stand over a food plot or feeder, as well as the spot and stalk methods in accordance to the pattern and movement of the deer. A semi guided hunt will consist of the guide setting the hunter in a blind (tripod, box blind, popup, tree stand, etc.) over a food plot or feeder. You will be set in your designated area by your guide where you will sit all day (from just before sunrise till after sunset). You will be provided a sack lunch and drink. The guide will be in contact with you periodically through out the day as needed to check you. Rifle season typically runs the first Saturday in November through the first Sunday in January. Meals and lodging are provided. Lodging begins the evening prior to the first day of hunting and ends the morning of the last day of hunting. Meals begin the evening prior to the first day of hunting and end at lunch on the last day of hunting. Hunters should arrive mid morning on the day prior to the first day of hunting.
