Three Generations of Grill's We arrived in Texas in December. Prior to leaving we received an e-mail instructing us how to get local weather info. We were able to have proper hunting clothing for the local climate. We received a warm greeting and then off to hunting. My father was amazed at the number of deer he saw that first night. He did see a 160 class buck however was not able to take a good shot so he let the buck go. My son also saw numerous deer that night but no shooters. Myself while not seeing the same amount of deer I did pass on some bucks. The second day was a success for my son and father. Both shooting nice bucks (my father's first buck in 20 years). He was extremely happy. I was proud that both my father and son were able to take two nice bucks. My son also saw a flock of Turkeys and a coyote. That second day I saw a lot of deer and again passed on some bucks. On our last day I had a chance at a really nice buck however it was not meant to be. We enjoyed ourselves that much that we booked another hunt with Triangle T Outfitters this year. Ed and all involved are very friendly and helpful. "I went into the field and hunted with one of the best men in the business." Hunt with Triangle T Outfitters because you will be hunting with Ed Tibljas. Ed takes as much pride as his hunters in harvesting trophy animals. I shot an aoudad with 13" bases and a 29" curl. Aoudads are smarter than whitetail deer and have better eyesight than turkeys making them hard to hunt. Ed selected the animal and called the shot. Afterwards, Ed handed out high-5's too. I told Ed it was my best hunt ever, even better than the whitetail deer I've shot with a bow. I'm going back to hunt with Ed in 2008 and I plan on shooting every animal he has to hunt in Texas. Every outfitter tells you they have trophy animals to hunt and Ed has trophies too, but after hunting with Ed you will have a trophy animal and you will be able to say, "I went into the field and hunted with one of the best men in the business."- Scott Hill |
"Jim's calling skills were unbelievable." "I wanted to let ya'll know how much fun I had on my turkey hunt this year. Jim did a great job guiding me and Brooklynn is a very sweet young lady and was alot of help,too! Jim's calling skills were unbelievable. I'd like to schedule again with Jim for the 2nd weekend of the 2009 season. Please let me know what I need to do. It was great meeting all the Tibjlas's and it will be good to see all of you again in the future. I can't wait till my guided trophy whitetail hunt with Ed in December. "-David Peterson |
