TTO was started by Ed Tibljas, owner and CEO of Triangle T Outfitters. He started guiding hunters in 1966 in the rugged country of northern New Mexico & Southern Colorado. Although Ed has been a commercial hunting guide for only 43 years, he started hunting with his father as a young child. He grew up in Raton, New Mexico and has trapped over most of northern New Mexico.

Ed spent a long hitch with the U.S. Army and an extended stay in the jungles of Vietnam. He came back to pursue his passion of hunting, fishing & the outdoors. He understands sportsmen and their desires of the outdoors. He is a devoted sportsman and an avid shot. He knows his hunting areas and the animals that live in them. He does 99% of the scouting himself, so he knows where the trophy animals feed and bed.
